Are there curriculum standards for Technology Education? Is it required? Yes! New Jersey Public Law Chapter 68 of 2003 required the State Board of Education to adopt standards for Technology, based on the Standards for Technological Literacy published in 2000 by the International Technology Education Association. This law led to the eventual adoption of New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standard 8.2, Technology Education. Technology content can also be referenced in Science Standard 5.4. For more information, please visit this page on the NJDOE website of FAQ's about technological literacy.
