Praxis Exam for Technology Education

Applicants for New Jersey licensure in Technology Education must pass the Technology Education (10050) PRAXIS II Subject Assessment/Specialty Area test(s). The test is required for all applicants including those applicants who are certificated in other states. The passing score for New Jersey is 570 and is subject to change.

The Technology Education test is a two-hour, 120 multiple-choice question test. These percentages approximate the content included in exam questions:

Pedagogical and Professional Studies - 30%
Information and Communication Technologies - 20%
Construction Technologies - 12%
Manufacturing Technologies - 18%
Energy/Power/Transportation Technologies - 20%

Several states recommend the Goodheart-Willcox text "Technology" Teacher's Wraparound Edition by R. Thomas Wright to review for the Technology Education Praxis exam. This comprehensive text is aligned to the Standards for Technological Literacy and also much of the Praxis exam. If you mention "Praxis" when ordering you will receive a discounted rate.
