Research shows that mentoring is critical to a positive experience during the first few years of teaching as well as a key to the retention of new teachers coming into the field.

The New Jersey Technology Education Association can help pair career changers and others with people that have gone through a similar transition to the classroom. These individuals can help provide advice about the process and experiences in a productive, non-evaluative manner.
